ADAA: THE ART SHOW 2008

February 20 - February 21
Jennifer Bartlett: At the Lake

Staggering in size and lush in color, At the Lake comes from a pivotal and exciting moment Jennifer Bartlett's career that summarily ensued her ground-breaking work Rhapsody (1976), recently acquired by the Museum of Modern Art. The monumental At the Lake is comprised of 45 plates and two interlocking canvasses and was included in a survey exhibition of Jennifer Bartlett's work organized by the Walker Art Center that traveled to The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, The Brooklyn Museum, the La Jolla Museum of Contemporary Art and the Museum of Art, Carnegie Institute.

February 22 - February 23
Andy Warhol: Black & White

Pop master Andy Warhol is regarded as one of the 20th century's most influential artists. A selection of the artist's late works - black and white poster-sized canvasses of advertisements and slogans taken from New York's daily newspapers during the height of the Pop Art movement in the 1960s - will be exhibited.

February 24 - February 25
David Klamen: Interiors

An artist whose meticulous technique and attention to detail mandates his deliberate and slow-moving practice, David Klamen produces only a few works per year. This year, the gallery will present Klamen's newest paintings, a series of large, architectural interiors taken from iconic cultural institutions. Klamen's exacting detail and careful treatment of light, shadows and reflections reveal specific and often overlooked qualities about these important spaces.
